Pinuccia Carrer teaches History of Music at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan. Her research activity, which began with Francesco Degrada and Emilia Fadini, focuses in particular on the reconstruction of the repertoire and production of women musicians, to whom she has devoted articles, essays, lectures and concerts. She has created the Presenze femminili nel Fondo Noseda database in the Milan Conservatory Library and collaborates with the Adkins-Chiti Foundation: Women in Music. She coordinates the Italian group of the RILM-Répertoire International de Littérature Musicale.
