Akim is a foreign child who doesn't speak our language. The album unfolds in a few episodes, almost a minimal story, the time that elapses between the disorientation of the first day of school and the moment when the little girl with cornflower eyes finds a playful way to give Akim the words he lacks. He is able to tell his story to his fellow students, describing where he comes from: an elsewhere that doesn't need a map, the land of whales.
